After work and coffee events

Next week is our coffee hour on Monday, March 6th at 2pm at the Rainbow Lounge in MIT. We will host this event at the Rainbow Lounge (50-250)– if you’ve never been, here is an explanation of how to get there. Come join for a nice afternoon break!

A note on the ongoing postering campaign:

Throughout the last two weeks, an unknown person or persons has conducted a campaign posting hate speech throughout the MIT campus. Specifically, these repeated acts of hate speech have targeted the LGBTQIA+ community. Here, we unequivocally condemn this grotesque display of hate speech on our campus and workplace. We believe that regardless of intent, this display of hatred and bigotry commits and unjustifiable harm against the LGBTQIA+ community. To our qtPhDs, we explicitly communicate that you are treasured and that we stand with you in our shared struggle for queer and trans liberation. We will report important updates to qtPhDs via this newsletter as this campaign continues and the campus response takes form.
