June 2023 Newsletter

June 1, 2023

Hi qtPhDs,

Happy pride y’all! Wishing you all many opportunities to celebrate yourself, your loved ones, and our beautiful community this month!

After work and coffee events

We will be meeting for our monthly coffee hour this Monday, June 5th at 2 pm at Area Four on their patio, weather permitting. Come join us for coffee, tea, and pastries!

Please sign up here by Monday June 5th, at 10 am so we have an estimate for coffee and treats: RSVP

This month we will not have a qtPhDs after-work event, to make time for all the many Pride events listed below. Save the date for our next coffee hour, on July 10th at 2pm (moved because of the long weekend the week before).

Here’s a full calendar of local and other MIT pride events, details below!

Boston’s pride celebrations are around the corner!

Trans Resistance March and Festival, June 3rd

Dyke March, June 9th

Boston Pride, June 10-11th

As always, we are happy to hear from you at qtphds-owner@mit.edu (or at our personal emails!).

See you out there this month folks! Stay hydrated!

Warmly,

*Each month we will be featuring a different pride flag in our logo! Our flag of the month is the Progress Flag, designed by Daniel Quasar in 2018. This flag builds on the iconic rainbow flag by adding explicit representation of Black, Brown, and Trans members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
